Three prominent members of the flooring industry were honored for their exceptional achievements at CCA Global Partners’ annual conneXtion convention in Orlando, Florida.
Vylett Cross of Ed’s Flooring America in Hooksett, New Hampshire, received the NEX40 Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership as a next-generation executive under 40. Cross, who joined her family business full-time in 2009, has become a driving force in the cooperative, serving on both the NEX40 Council and Flooring America Advisory Council.
The Wally Hileman Award went to Kayla Simons of Desert Design Carpet One Floor & Home in Elko, Nevada. After starting as a Design Consultant in 2016, Simons rapidly advanced to ownership in 2022. She has since led a significant expansion, including the remodeling of two locations and opening a new store in Carson City.
Shannon Byerly of Burlington Carpet One Floor & Home in Burlington, North Carolina, received the Alan Greenberg Award, commemorating her 35-year dedication to the industry. As a 10-year RNG Coordinator, Byerly has been instrumental in mentoring peers and promoting collaborative success within the cooperative.
