What I was looking for

When I was searching for my first home in Florida, I couldn’t seem to find the place that was just right. Every community seemed to be missing something. I wanted a good lap pool for exercise and a nice dog park for my overly hyper dog, and I wanted a new construction that wasn’t going to need repairs within the first few years. Eventually after looking all over central Florida, I found the Connerton community with homes by Lennar.

 

The perfect home and community

The community had everything I wanted, a pool, a park, a nice clubhouse that looks like something straight out of Disney World, and an incredibly active community that is perfect for a young guy like me with food trucks coming in and a couple of nice events like polar plunges in the pool which is right up my alley. My home is a villa and it’s gorgeous with spacious bedrooms, an open kitchen/living room, and brand-new appliances, all of which are great except for the dishwasher, the dishwasher is a little underpowered. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing other than moving in all my things.

Lennar made it easy

Lennar also made the buying process very simple to follow and several Lennar employees were always available to make sure I understood everything that was happening when buying my first home. The only difficult part was closing since there was some confusion about where to meet, and the location they gave me ended up being the wrong place, but they made up for it by setting me up for a virtual closing that I could do in a parking lot with only my phone. After that, they gave me my keys right away, and I was officially a homeowner.

 

We still love it!

Over a year after moving in, my pets and I still love the home. I haven’t needed any repairs or maintenance and since it’s a no-maintenance community I haven’t had to mow a lawn, water plants, or control my sprinklers ever. I can focus on work, exercising, and my pets which is exactly what I wanted. I’m very much enjoying my new home and I don’t plan to leave Connerton for a long time.
