A New Christmas Tree, Traditional Mantel & More

Merry Christmas to you all! I’m wrapping up the Christmas holidays today with the rest of our Christmas tour this year. I don’t do a lot of things differently each year, but this year we have a new tree. It’s sparser and 7′ tall, but we couldn’t love it more. Come on in for the tour of the new tree and the rest of our home decorated for Christmas. We sure love the sparkle and shine of the twinkling lights this time of year.

The new tree is was gifted to me this summer by King of Christmas and it’s the 7′ King Noble Fir with twinkling white lights. This one doesn’t have colored lights, but it has several settings for the white lights and I love the twinkle setting the most. You can’t see it here, but I’ve shared the twinkle on Instagram.

What I love about the tree is the branches are spaced apart more and I can layer it inside with our Shiny Brite ornaments and they really show up so well on this type of tree. It reminds me of the spruce trees we used to buy real when I was growing up. They weren’t always huge, but the ornaments were so pretty. It’s not as big and as full as the other tree we’ve used for the last few years, but I sure do like how it looks. I think we both agree that this one is staying.

Mark added his old Lionel train around the bottom on white batting and I loaded up the tree with 1000 thin silver icicles I found at Target. I love how the icicles make it look so vintage.

And just look how the vintage Shiny Brites look on the tree. I didn’t layer all my ribbons as usual, but I tucked a few of them in loops inside the tree. The ornaments are the star of this tree.

And it’s not as much of a space hog as the other tree was.

We added all our favorite ornaments on the tree, including some newer Christopher Radko Shiny Brites.

My old Fitz and Floyd nativity that I’ve had for years added to my grandma’s side table.

I still love these Walmart trees I got a few years ago with their pastel glass trees.

This little reindeer I found at Homegoods a few years ago and she fits right in as well. Those pink and smaller ornaments scattered under are also vintage.

Miss Daisy has her Christmas sweater on and did a nice job of posing this year for me. Sometimes when I get the camera out she will turn her head and not look at me, but I got some good ones this time.

She stayed put for me in front of the Christmas tree.

I love this one of her! Daisy has our heart and she is such a precious baby girl. She’s also stubborn and obstinate sometimes, but we sure do love her. She will not hesitate to tell me when she wants something, she knows how to get attention.

Moving to the family room, I love the mantel this year and it might be my favorite one ever, so this may be how I decorate it every year. First, I’ll show you another little tree I got from Lowes (also gifted). I’m working with them as a Lowes influencer so you may see more of their products around.

This little tree came in a silver metal base, but I put it in this bamboo planter I had here and I love how it looks. It’s the Holiday Living 4.5 flocked tree with berries, but unfortunately it’s sold out. I’m linking it in case it comes back in stock.

Mark really likes it because it has colored lights too. It has several settings on white and colored lights so you can choose the one you like best. I love the addition!

Here’s the mantel, which I think has a Ralph Lauren vibe. Those nutcrackers are new this year from CVS and I love them mixed with my blue and white. Those rechargeable sconces (non-wired) are still on deep sale right now.

I got those faux orange picks last year and love them on the mantel, as well as that long cedar faux garland. It just seems to go so well with plaid ribbon that I got last year too. I added the plaid ribbon through the garland and also around my light sconces.

Simple but sweet to add Christmas spirit to the kitchen area.

I love adding these pretty glass ornaments to the chandelier in here with a simple faux garland.

And the ceramic tree that Mark got from his mom is a fave on the bar. I love adding the little village people around the bottom.

And last, our kitchen counters are busy and used daily, so I only add this to the marble tray.
