When my kids were little I loved dressing them up in adorable clothes. They always had a cute new outfit wrapped up under the tree. I was thrilled when their grandmas bought them clothes, too. Even though they are all grown up now, it’s still fun!
My daughter Courtney (who just got married this summer!) was telling me last week that she was feeling inspired to mix up her wardrobe a bit this winter. With holiday festivities to go to and gifts to give, we found that Walmart has some super cute (and affordable) winter outfits and gifts for any age and every occasion!
Throughout this post we’ll show you three adorable winter outfits we put together with items all found at Walmart. You’ll see how easy it is to mix and match these pieces to create different looks for all sorts of occasions (day and night, inside and out). And don’t miss the end with some extra accessory ideas for each style!
In the NW it gets a little chilly this time of year, but some days are so beautiful you just have to get out and enjoy a walk! Cozy sweaters, hats and boots are wonderful whether you’re inside or outside. This outfit is the CUTEST. A super soft ribbed long sleeve tee (only $7.98 and such a great basic that comes in multiple colors), a plaid flannel faux wrap skirt, this adorable checked floral cardigan, black tights, ankle boots, a gold chain necklace, and a cozy knit hat that will go with everything.
And yes, our dogs really do wear sweaters. Not only do they like to look festive for the holidays but they really love being cozy, just like we do. Do your dogs like sweaters? Ha! Maybe our dogs are strange, but Walmart had some really cute dog sweaters (this one is Jack’s, it says ‘merry and bright’ on the back!).
You don’t need to change out all the pieces to create a different outfit! Just by swapping a couple layers (or removing some like the hat and cardigan in Courtney’s case above), you can get a whole new look. That’s great for saving money of course, but it’s also just fun to add variety to your wardrobe and use what you already have in new ways! These pieces would all be cute with jeans, too for another look.
The plaid flannel skirt is super cute, she can wear it all winter! It would be so darling with a chunky knit sweater, too, when she wants to get extra cozy.
A quick switch from the casual daytime shirt to this gorgeous fancy top, and she’s ready for the evening. The black boots and tights keep her warm and fashionable with all three looks!
Look at those sleeves! Can you believe how pretty this shirt is? I absolutely love the design, it looks like high end fashion! What girl wouldn’t love this under the tree?
Look at the little ruffle at the wrists, it is just SOOO CUTE!
She also swapped out her necklace for these pretty layered necklaces. They look so pretty with the scoop neckline–I love the dainty details.
