Our mudroom got a little cozier & spookier this past week with a couple antique touches, foraged items from our yard, & some birds. This year I feel like I am going with the “free & easy” method for fall. Well, most of it. We know that I collected some terracotta pumpkins at the beginning of fall, but that’s what I do every year. I add a few things to my collection, but I don’t need all new decor each season & neither do you! I hope I have given you some great ideas here on the blog this season & on my Instagram for some free & affordable ways you can decorate for fall. Let’s take a look at our farmhouse mudroom & what I did in there…
I got this wall pocket from an antique shop & I loved putting sticks in it for that spooky fall touch. Remember to shop your yard, garage, basement, closets, & your loved ones donation piles before you go & buy anything. You would be surprised at what you can find! I got some clip-on birds from that same antique shop, but I found some on Amazon shared below that twist on with metal bands. The bird poster, chair, handmade pumpkin, quilt, mail bag, & everything on the ledge is also antique finds.
I shared this cozy fall entryway [HERE] in our mudroom a while back with tips on how you can get the fall feeling in your home without tons of decor, buying new items, or stressing yourself out. You can also see more of this space in that post. If you are on the hunt for a piece like I have hanging on the wall here with the sticks & birds, I gathered some from around the internet to get you started here:
I also did this look here this weekend as a simple centerpiece. You can see the video I made of it [HERE]. I love how the sticks can be seen through the glass… lots of texture! You can see some birds, vases, & stick options if you don’t have these things already:
I hope this post inspired you in some way! A mix of antiques & nature finds is my favorite way to decorate & I hope I inspired you to decorate the same. You can find more of my fall decor & inspiration [HERE]. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & every single day to see what we are up to. xx
